How much income or assets can I have and still qualify?
Surprisingly, your income and assets are irrelevant for SSD purposes. The only issues are whether you have paid into the system through FICA taxes for at least 20 of the last 40 quarters and you are too injured or too ill to work.
This means that Susan could have as much money as Madonna,Bill Gates, or Warren Buffet and still get SSD.
